Dave Osti Short Bio

Since cradling his first guitar and immediately writing lots of songs in 1976

Dave had been tasked with the never ending contrast

of being a super creative person from a young age

while having to balance that with a family stigma based on manual labor and not artistic value,

writing a songs in your head during history class was a deal breaker according to public education

so he quit school in 7th grade and started working pick and shovel

and living a life akin to people much older than himself...

These experiences are ultimately intertwined in the lyrics and music he creates.

He is a self taught multi instrumentalist and composes accordingly to his particular strengths,

In a fortunate chance phone call around 2009 from New York indie label Grooveyard Records

he was offered and signed a deal to write and produce a Blues Rock Guitar focused album

which was well received and ultimately led to producing several more albums for the label

under the blues rock guitar moniker Dirty Dave Osti.

Fast forward 2025 Dave is diving back into his folk rock and lyrical ballads

And hoping to reintroduce himself to new audiences via the surge of Americana/ Folk

And living where the forest meets the sea.
